Place the machine on a flat and level surface for safe, reliable operation.
Flat and Level Surface
Place the machine on a flat and level surface. This ensures the safety interlock system engages correctly and the machine operates safely.
Position the Collection Bin
The safety interlock tabs on the rolling collection bin must fit properly into the receiving slots on the machine.
Center the Tabs
The tabs on the left and right sides of the bin must be centered top-to-bottom inside the horizontal slots on the side rails.
Adjust if Needed
Loosen the four adjustment bolts and slide each tab up or down until it sits in the exact center of the slot. Retighten the bolts securely.
Power On the Machine
Insert the collection bin fully into the machine. Turn on power at the side-mounted circuit breaker. Press the blue POWER button, then the green SHRED button.
Troubleshooting
If the green SHRED button does not light, re-adjust the interlock tabs so they are level and centered. For severely uneven floors, place a flat metal plate under the machine and bin.
